So, why C47 Films?
Simply put, a C47 is a wooden peg. These can be quite useful in the film world for various needs.
A C47 peg is small and commonplace, but when you’re without one- you realise how useful it really is.
So why C47 Films? Well, like the titular peg, we aim to be invisible and efficient when we work, necessary every step of the way, and ultimately, we always commit to our services with passion and determination.
You can never go wrong with a C47.

Our Story
Matt and Rupert met in university and developed a creative chemistry that would lead to a number of various projects.
Wanting some kind of direction once their course concluded, C47 Films was formed as the next significant step for them.
C47 Films ultimately balances videography and creative film work, providing an outlet for both Matt and Rupert to further their skills and filmmaking interests.
Matt and Rupert aim to provide clients with a service that is reliable and flexible, catered to the best option for them.
With a focus on supporting filmmakers, C47 Films believes in the grit and perseverance of filmmaking. It's not about getting it all perfect, it's about just going for it.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (1966), Chinatown (1974), Heat (1995), I Saw The Devil (2010)
Since a young age, Matt was always into film (whether he knew it or not). As soon as he acquired a camera and some overly ambitious ideas, there was no stopping him. From war films to cowboy epics in his backyard, Matt’s filmmaking journey evolved gradually until it was clear this was the path for him.
Matt has a Bachelor's Degree in Film and Television, graduating from JMC Academy in 2026. The birth of C47 Films developed right as Matt was apprehensive about leaving uni; organically forging the next step for him.
With a passion for writing, directing, editing and cinematography, Matt provides C47 films with a backbone in independent low-budget filmmaking and a creative pulse that never stops.
